Mom's colorful wildflowers

Rick Rouse.
Mom has always loved watching things grow and helping them along so
she has always had plenty of colorful flowers growing all over her
property. But with a rather large family to feed she and dad always
had a large vegetable garden as well. Now that she is enjoying her
80th decade of life, she no longer needs or wants to raise a big
garden so at her request my brother Glen planted a large patch of
wildflowers over much of the plot.
Consisting of mostly red poppies, mom's new wildflower patch is
almost as bright and colorful as she is, helping her make the world
a little more beautiful than it would be without them in it.
Everyone who has ever met my mom loves her, and now what was once
her vegetable garden is a sea of color and life - a fitting reminder
of what a beautiful person this amazingly wonderful lady really is.
