Monster trucks going head-to-head

My brother Glen and sister-in-law Tonnie recently traveled to the
eastern coast of Virginia to visit their daughter Amanda and
grandsons "Little Glen" and Jason, and while they were there they
all headed over to the Hampton Coliseum to take in a "Monster
Truck" show.
This was the boys' first experience with monster trucks, and
needless to say they both had a ball even though the noise was a bit
loud for Jason's sensitive ears. Of course the event was filled with
the usual spinning wheels, flying dirt, and flying & flipping
trucks, but no one got hurt and a great time was had by all. I'm
just glad I didn't have to help clean up the mess!
The show provided Glen the elder with a prime opportunity to put his
new
Tamron 18-250mm zoom lens to the test, and as you can tell from
looking at today's picture it performed rather well. By the time it
was all over Glen had created a nice collection of great images, and
the boys had created a bunch of wonderful childhood memories. It
turned out to be a fantastic family outing that left these "kids" of
various
ages longing for more.
The camera and settings used to capture this image were as follows:
Camera: Nikon D70s
Lens: Tamron AF18-250mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II LD Zoom
Focal length: 38mm
Shutter speed: 1/60 of a second
Aperture: f/4.5
