In addition to being home to some of the nicest people you will ever
meet, our neighbor to the north is also home to some of the world's
most magnificent scenery. Canada is the 2nd largest country on the
face of the planet, and you would be hard-pressed to find very many
vistas within her borders that wouldn't make an absolutely breathtaking
photograph.
Today's picture features one of the most famous scenes in all of
Canada, and here is photographer Lance W. Moreland with a few
details about it:
"This photo is of "Morant's Curve" in Banff National Park in
Canada.
A similar photograph taken by Nicholas Morant, for which the
area
was named, was displayed on the back of the Canadian twenty
dollar
bill for many years." --Lance W. Moreland

What a wonderful Canadian scene Mr. Moreland! From the scenic vista
to the ice covered waters and finally the Canadian Pacific train,
you certainly captured the magnificent flavor of Canada in just one
frame. That's a great photograph!

Very nice photo today Mr. Moreland!! My eyes first saw the train
engine, and then followed the rest of the train to the beautiful
mountains in the background. Exposure is spot on here and the detail
is just great. I have a folder on my PC where I store photos that I
really enjoy from TodaysPhoto.org. I hope that you do not mind that
your photo is in it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful photo with
us. |
