Mount Washington in early spring

New Hampshire's Mount Washington is quite striking when it is
covered with snow, and photographer Don Barnhart was certainly "in
the right place at the right time" to photograph this majestic
peak in all it's
snow-covered glory. Here is Mr. Barnhart's story behind the image:
"This is a photo of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire with the Saco
River in the foreground. I shot it the morning of April 24 after a
spring rain (in the valley) coated the mountain with snow. The
picture was taken from an overlook along NH 16 just south of North
Conway village. The mountain when covered with snow is impressive.
It reminds of Paul’s statement that the creation shows us the
majesty of God." --Don Barnhart Here are the camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Nikon D70S
Lens: Nikkor ED 55-200
Focal length: 78mm
Shutter speed: 1/500 second
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 250
Note: I’m an amateur so the camera was on auto.

Wonderful photo of Mt. Washington. Makes me homesick for my native
New England.
