Photographer Gordon Brugman has treated us to many gorgeous scenes
from the Great Smoky Mountains region of Tennessee, and
today's picture is yet another superb example of that area's
stunning beauty. Here is Mr. Brugman's story behind the image:
"The wonderful
stream image recently featured by master
photo-
grapher Winston "Rocky" Rockwell got my day off to a wonderful
start. Coming just the day after I had spent the afternoon snapping
images of my own favorite local stream, his image and commentary
reinforced my own belief that moments spent appreciating the
simple
beauty of nature are great ways of putting life into perspective.
Today's image, taken during that pleasant afternoon, is my way of
saying 'Thanks Rocky'." --Gordon Brugman
The camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Nikon D40
Focal length: 50mm
Exposure time: 3.5 seconds
