All of God's creatures are precious, and for many folks some of the
most precious of all are the wonderful birds that come to visit
throughout the year. Many of us place birdhouses in various places
around our property, hoping that along with the arrival of spring
will come a pair of new tenants for those little homes. For one
reason or another, some of those birdhouses will sit empty while
others are occupied for just a short period before they are
abandoned - but not the one featured in today's picture! Here is
photographer Gladys Osborne to explain:
"This is a picture of a much used birdhouse on the back deck of
my
home in Pound, Virginia. A parent bird is in the process of feeding
the
babies inside the birdhouse. Birds make frequent use of this
house so
I don't have the heart to clean it or move it to a safer
location."
