"Sunset at Java's Ngliyep Beach"

(Click on the photo for a larger view)
Our wonderful planet is dotted with places where sunrises and
sunsets always seem to be just a little more stunning than normal,
and one of those places is the Indonesian island of Java.
Like most of the volcanic islands of the Pacific, Java is quite
interesting as well as gorgeous.
Java is the 13'th largest island in the world, and one of the most
densely populated places you will find anywhere on the globe. In
fact, if the island itself were a country, only Bangladesh would
have more people per square mile. And like others in many of the
world's most beautiful places, it seems that the people of Java must
endure more than their fair share of problems. But as you can see in
today's picture, they do enjoy the privilege of witnessing some
pretty amazing sunsets!
