"No Dogs Allowed"

There are a couple of places in our house where dogs simply aren't allowed, one of which is our master bathroom where we keep Mr. Pooh and Tigger's food and water dishes filled and waiting for them to enjoy their next meal. Well, when Cheria and I first brought our Great Pyrenees Houdini into our home, one of the first things he did was stroll right into the cats' dining facility (AKA the bathroom) and start gobbling down a bowl of Purina Cat Chow! Obviously, something had to be done... With the help of a baby gate, we immediately began "training" our giant bundle of white fur to refrain from entering that particular bathroom, and after a couple of months of yelling "No, Houdini!" it appears that we finally have him broken. But just to be on the safe side I made a little sign and hung it on the bathroom door explaining to the lovable but not-so-cunning canine that the cat's dining area was now and forever off-limits! And so far it appears to be working. Of course Houdini has a dining area of his own right beside our own dining room table, but Tigger refuses to acknowledge the fact that she needs to return the favor and stay out of the dog's bowl as well. Every time we fill up Houdini's bowl she prances right over and makes sure she gets the first few bites.
