"Pallas's Cat"

Today's picture features a close-up view of a Pallas's Cat, a
feline that looks a bit different from the other members of the cat
family thanks to its round eyes and short, stubby ears. They have a
few other unique characteristics as well, but what really sets the
Pallases apart are their eyes!
In the wild, Pallas's Cats make their homes on the steppes of
central Asia, but photographer Scott Liddell encountered this cute
little fellow at Scotland's Edinburgh Zoo. Here are the camera and
settings used to capture this striking image:
Camera: Canon EOS 20D
Lens: Canon 70-200mm f/4 L
Focal length: 200mm
Shutter speed: 1/125 second
Aperture: f/4
ISO 400

What an interesting animal! It sort of resembles a gray tabby in
color, but the face and eyes are like no other cat I have ever seen
- almost surreal in fact. Excellent close-up shot Mr. Liddell!

This is a very nice capture of the Pallas Cat. I don’t think I have
ever seen one of these before and they are really pretty.
Interesting, I went to Wikipedia to get a bit more info on this cat
and saw the same picture there. Very well done Mr. Liddell!
