"Patriotic Packard"

Here is photographer Robert Schwarztrauber's story behind the image: "It seems like only yesterday we were watching the Memorial Day parade from the steps of my father's house where I took this photo. Alive with thoughts of freedom and fun in the sun. Now, we shop for school supplies and begin to feel a hint of fall in the coolness of the nights. Where has all our summer gone? Where too are all the magnificent Packard convertible automobiles that cruised the city streets in what couldn't have been more than two or three summers ago. Perhaps it was a little longer than that.
