The Petronas Twin Towers

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is home to the spectacular
Petronas Twin
Towers, the tallest twin buildings on the planet at a staggering
1,483 feet to the top of the antenna. Construction of
the towers began in 1992 with two different companies building the
two structures, competing with one another to see who could finish
their tower first. The towers were completed just six years later,
and at the time they were the world's tallest buildings, of any type.
The Petronas Twin Towers easily dominate the skyline of Kuala
Lumpur, and as you can see in this beautiful photo by photographer
Jonathan Lee, they are simply stunning after the sun goes down! Here
is Mr. Lee's very interesting story behind the image:
"This picture was taken from my 31st floor hotel room. Since I
was
shooting through the glass, I had to turn off all the lights and
shoot from behind the curtains. Hopefully no one saw me out there.
I
had always wanted to take a picture from this angle, and when the
opportunity came I made sure that I got booked into a room facing
the twin towers.
"Although the towers are no longer the tallest
buildings in the world,
they are still the tallest TWIN towers in
the world! I hope you enjoy
looking at
this image as much as I enjoyed
capturing and sharing it
with you." --Jonathan Lee
