Abingdon, Virginia's 25th annual "Plum Alley Day" festival

Today's picture features a snapshot of the huge crowd that turned
out for yesterday's 25th Annual "Plum Alley Day" festival in
Abingdon, Virginia. Every May the Abingdon Kiwanis Club hosts this
extremely popular one-day event, and the money raised from booth
rentals, the Kiwanis Club yard sale, and thousands of $1 donations
goes to help fund numerous charities, most of which are
children-related.
At approximately 6:30 yesterday morning, the narrow one-lane road
known as Plum Alley was blocked off and turned into a combination
flea market, yard sale and carnival complete with over 100 vendors,
plenty of live entertainment and a number of children's events. And
as you can see in the photo above, Plum Alley was jam-packed with
friendly folks who came out to enjoy the day's festivities.
As always, this year's edition of Plum Alley Day was a big hit with
young and old alike, and lots of much-needed cash was raised to
help out a number of worthy organizations. Thanks to everyone who
came out and joined in the fun!
