Twilight at Point Vicente Lighthouse

Photo of Point Vicente Lighthouse at twilight.

Thanks to their beauty and relative rarity, lighthouses are very popular subjects for photographers. Mr. Marc Evans did a wonderful job at capturing the early evening beauty of California's Point Vicente Lighthouse in today's picture, and he offers the following words about the image:
"The Point Vicente Lighthouse, in Rancho Palos Verdes, California has
been a navigation aid for mariners - marking the northern end of
the Catalina Channel - since May 1, 1926.

This image, with Catalina Island 26 miles in the distance, was taken
January 21, 2009 during the last few minutes of Civil Twilight. The
    gear used was a Canon 30D with the EF70-200mm f/4L USM @ 98mm,
tripod mounted, and remote switch w/ mirror lock-up. The EXIF is
    6 Sec @ f/19 & ISO 100."
