Mr. Pooh Staring Down A Wasp

Yesterday Cheria walked into the living room and saw Mr. Pooh staring at a wasp clinging to the curtains. He appeared to be mesmerized by the insect, sitting as still as a cat can possibly sit, watching and waiting... Cheria quietly called for me to grab my camera and come into the living room, and when I got there Pooh and the wasp were still staring each other down. I quickly snapped off a couple of pictures, after which the wasp decided it had had enough of the stand-off. Off it flew towards Pooh like a Kamikaze dive bomber, only to find itself lying on the floor waiting for a merciful slap of the fly swatter. Luckily, Mr. Pooh was victorious in his bout with the wasp, but one has to question the feline's sanity for taking on such a potentially dangerous foe in the first place. I guess we'll just have to be a little more careful about who we allow to follow us into the house from now on.
