Praying Hands "catching" God's gift of snow

Rouse.
Since our neck of the woods received the first measurable snowfall
of the season yesterday morning,
Cheria
and I got up early and headed outside to take a few pictures before
the snow melted away. It wasn't a heavy snowfall, only about half
an inch or so, but since we're still in a serious drought
situation here in southwestern Virginia we were mighty glad to get it.
At first glance this scene looks pretty bland, as if it's just an
old stump all covered with snow. But if you look closely you'll
notice a pair of praying hands, outstretched, reaching towards
Heaven so as to "catch" the precious snowflakes that we have been praying
for of late. Those praying hands are actually a well-used
birdfeeder, but yesterday morning they served as a visual reminder
of the thanks we owe to the Good Lord for sending us some
much-needed moisture.
Our merciful and gracious Heavenly Father always answers the prayers of His children. The answers aren't always
the ones we had hoped for, but our prayers are always answered
nonetheless. And in this instance the answer was exactly what we had
prayed for. We received a snowfall that, while small, was more than we usually receive in early
December. I'm sure there is more to come if we just keep asking Him for
it, and when it comes those praying hands will still be out there
waiting to catch it.

The “Praying Hands” photo is unique, in that even a stump can be
considered beautiful when looked at from a God-made perspective.
The
Praying Hands remind us to ask and we shall receive. Have a
blessed
day. Thank you!
