A very protective mother goose

The Creator instilled an innate desire and obligation to nurture and
protect their young into all mothers, and today's picture by
photographer Robert Schwarztrauber drives that fact home loud and
clear. Here is Mr. Schwarztrauber with his story behind the image:
"This weekend, Buffalo, NY had exceptionally warm weather for
this
time of year. So I hopped on the opportunity to go out and see
the
New Spring Line...looking for signs of our renewed blessings,
miracles
from the Creator. I was very pleased to find these newly
hatched
geese out for a stroll along the riverbanks. It didn't take
long for
them to discover that life isn't always easy. And to be
thankful for
having the protection of a caring parent.
I seldom use the automatic modes on my Nikon, but I do find that
when shooting our animal friends, Sports mode works very well to
keep the main subjects in focus as they move about...and with
digital, just keep firing away." --Robert Schwarztrauber

This is one of those frequent images on TodaysPhoto.org where it's
hard to decide which is better, the picture or the "story". Today,
they are both outstanding!
