The rainbow is one of nature's most beautiful phenomena, and
photographer Jelena Loncar has managed to capture an absolutely spectacular one
in today's picture. Extending almost as far as the eye can see in
either direction, this is one of those rare rainbows that consists
of a perfectly symmetrical arc of lovely colors for our eyes to
behold.
The very first rainbow ever to grace the sky appeared to Noah after the waters of the
Great Flood began to subside and the clouds finally parted following
a non-stop deluge that lasted a full 40 days and 40 nights. That
magnificent arc of multi-colored light was a precious gift from God
to symbolize His promise to Noah that never again would He bring
destruction down upon the earth with water. We have been
enjoying the beauty and serenity of rainbows ever since.
Here are the camera and settings the photographer used to capture
this gorgeous image:
Camera: Nikon D60
Focal length: 18mm
Shutter speed: 1/250 second
Aperture: f/10
ISO: 200
