Life on planet earth can be so confusing at times that everything
seems upside down and reality appears skewed beyond recognition. But
while a quick glance at today's picture might lead one to believe that
photographer Rick Ellis was having just such a day when he took this
rather intriguing photograph, really he wasn't. And no, he wasn't standing on
his head when he snapped off the shot. Here is Mr. Ellis with a
quick explanation:
"The reflection of these Oak Maple trees amid the last of the
winter ice reminded me of an old M.C. Escher wood cut from
1952. The
image was made with a Canon A460 at ISO 80 for
1/60th of a second." --Rick Ellis

Superb photo today Mr. Rouse. Kudos to the photographer for a

It took a moment for me to realize exactly what it was that I was
looking at in this picture, but now it's plain as day. Very, very
nice!

I’m also a fan of M.C. Escher’s work, and the resemblance between
this image and the woodcut is remarkable…all that’s missing is the
tire tracks and footprints! Great job, Rick!

Whenever I see a picture like this one, I always wonder how the
photographer came up with the idea for such a shot. It doesn't
matter though, because this is a true work of art.
