Rhododendrons in bloom

In what has become a yearly spring ritual at our place, the rhododendron bushes out front have burst into bloom, turning the front of our house into a wonderland of purple and red. The frost "got" some of the shrubs and kept them from looking their best, but this one is absolutely covered with gorgeous blossoms. Cheria snapped this picture while walking around the yard with her Canon Powershot S3 IS, and I thought it would make a nice "Picture of the Day". Although we aren't all that happy with this particular camera, if the light is just right it takes pretty decent pictures.
