London and The River Thames after dark

Robert Stainforth.
The River Thames is one of the most well-known bodies of
water on the planet. Its waters flow through several cities and towns in
southern England including Oxford, Reading and Windsor, as well as the very
heart of London. Since a number of London's most important landmarks
and tourist attractions are either within sight of the river or
within easy walking distance, a visit to "The Thames" is pretty much
mandatory when visiting England for the first time.
The London cityscape is quite distinctive and very beautiful,
especially after the sun goes down and all the colorful lights
brighten the sky and cast their reflections upon the water. This
beautiful nighttime photograph of the river and the city beyond was
taken by photographer Robert Stainforth, and the following is his
story behind the image:
"I set up a website for a college project on
London Tube
Architecture.
However with winter nights drawing in, I decided to
take some shots
of
the city after dark. This photo of The Thames was
taken on a perfect
evening from Waterloo bridge looking towards the
iconic
London Eye
and
The Houses of Parliament." --Robert
Stainforth
