Fog sweeping into San Francisco Bay

David Bush.
San Francisco Bay and the
Golden Gate Bridge have been photographed
countless times over the years, but today's picture shows them from
a perspective that I have never seen before. This intriguing
photograph was submitted by photographer David Bush, and he offers
the following details about the image:
The Golden Gate serves as an entrance to the San Francisco Bay
for not only ships, but also the fog and chilly coastal weather
patterns that San Francisco is infamous for. City dwellers on the
Pacific side often complain of the fog lingering over them and the
longstanding dreary conditions it creates. However, the perspective
of a person beyond the cold reach of the fog may be entirely
different.
Particularly fascinating to behold is the rare
circumstance of the
shallow marine layer creeping in as the sun sets
just between
it and the elevated clouds, bathing the urban landscape
in a sea
of golden light. --David Bush
