"Seaside Sunset"

Photographer Aneta Blaszczyk chose to keep the location of this
stunning sunset a secret, perhaps to keep hordes of visitors from
descending upon such a beautiful place and ruining its relaxing
atmosphere.
There are so many things about this photograph that I like that I
can't possibly list them all here, but I'll share a couple of them
with you nonetheless. First of all, the photographer managed to
capture the image at the precise moment when the long reddish-orange rays of the
setting sun have completely overwhelmed the other colors, creating a
scene reminiscent of those routinely enjoyed by sailors as they
watch the sun set on yet another day out at sea.
And then there are the multiple layers of detail, each of which adds
a unique dimension to the image: The rolling surf, the gulls perched
on the pylons, the sunlight glimmering on the surface of the sea,
the imposing silhouette of the ship, and of course the sinking sun
causing the sky to positively glow in a number of beautiful, yet
subtle colors.
This is the type of image that every landscape photographer dreams
of capturing, and Ms. Blaszczyk has managed to do so to perfection.
I guess it's a good thing that the location was kept a secret. After
all, some scenes are much better when shrouded in mystery.
