"Seattle at night"

(Click on the photo for a larger view)
Seattle, Washington is one of America's great cities, and
this spectacular nighttime photograph of the downtown area is one of
the most beautiful I have ever seen. Photographer Lars Sundström
surely must have done everything just right in order to come away
with such a technically perfect exposure. Why is the
Space Needle
nowhere in sight? Because Mr. Sundström was enjoying the view from
its observation deck when he snapped the picture!
Here are the camera and settings used to capture this image:
Camera: Nikon D80
Focal length: 18mm
Shutter speed: 1/2 second
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 125
Exposure compensation: -0.7 step

I love the colors and lighting in this picture. It's hard to capture
much detail in a low-light shot such as this, but this one turned
out close to perfect. Wonderful job Mr. Sundström.
