Remembering Shaun Lunt

Yesterday afternoon I received today's picture and the accompanying
narrative from good friend and frequent contributor Ron Trees.
I'll just get out of the way and allow you to read it for yourself:
"My nephew, Shaun Lunt, was killed this last Friday when the
plane
he was piloting crashed in Alaska. He was only 34, and one of
the
nicest guys you would have ever met. He was genuine to the core
and really cared about people. He worked as an Anesthesiologist in
Loma Linda, CA. He had spent three months last summer in Alaska
and
was spending some more time there this year.
Shaun had a real passion for flying and for photography. The two
combined and the result was his blog at
shaunlunt.typepad.com
that he posted last year with some of the most beautiful aerial
photography of Alaska that I have ever seen. Shaun's photography
has
graced many a desktop all over the world. But more important,
his
love for God is also evidenced in the test that accompanied
many of
these photos.
I am told that Shaun was concerned that his life had meaning and
that what he was doing was worth while. If you just do a search on
his name on the internet, you will find that he touched more people
than he will ever realize this side of heaven. He was not a
preacher,
but he lived what he believed and many saw Jesus through
him. He
has left a legacy that will continue to speak to people’s
hearts for
a long time to come. We are sure going to miss you
Shaun!!"

Cheria and I are very sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful
nephew Ron. Although we never knew Shaun, after reading your
touching tribute and visiting his blog it is quite apparent that the
world has lost a very good man. Our condolences to you and

We would like to say how much we enjoy your site, especially since
our son, Ron Trees, has drawn our attention to it. We are so very
proud of him and of his photos that you have chosen to put on your
web site. We are all so truly saddened over Shaun's death. He was a
wonderful person and contributed some wonderful photography for all
to enjoy. I might mention that the gal in the picture with Shaun is
special to us also. She is Ron's wife (our daughter-in-law) Terri
Trees.
