Now that we are well into the month of May, those of us living down
here in the "lower 48" will soon be enduring the heat of summer and
wishing for a visit to a cooler clime. Well, today's picture
features just such a place: beautiful Skilak Lake on Alaska's Kenai
Peninsula.
Many folks think of Alaska as little more than "America's icebox",
but in reality our 50th state is a wonderful place filled with great
people, vast stores of natural resources, and quite simply some of
the most magnificent scenery on planet earth. When God created
Alaska, He gave each and every one of us a magical place that we can
visit any time we wish. And for most of us, that time would be
summer.

Alaska truly is one of the most beautiful places on earth. My wife
and I took an Alaska cruise a couple of years ago, and I came away
with so many amazing photographs that it would take a huge museum to
hold them all. Any photographer or nature lover should visit that
wonderful state at least once during his/her lifetime.

Today’s photo, taken by Mr. Sauskojus, shows another example of why
my nephew loved Alaska so much. It is a beautiful photo and another
great reminder of the beauty, love and care that our Creator has in
His heart for us. If that were not so, why would He have gone to so
much trouble to make such beautiful places for us to see. Very nice
photo!! I would love to visit Alaska! |
