Photographer Ron Trees is one of this website's biggest supporters,
and his wonderful images and kind words about those taken by other
photographers are much appreciated. In fact, Ron submitted the photo
featured above, and as always he did an excellent job! I'll just get
out of the way and let him tell you about this beautiful image:
"Like so many others, our winter here in Spokane, WA has started
off with a real bang. For the last couple of weeks we have had
very
cold temperatures and then last Wednesday it started to snow.
We
broke the old record of snowfall in a 24 hr period. The record
was
13” and we received 19” or more depending on your location.
It has
continued to snow off and on and we have a pretty fair mess
really.
But, on Saturday, the sun came out and it was an absolutely
beautiful day. I could not resist getting out and taking some
pictures.

On a more personal note, I would like to just take a minute and
thank Rick for this really awesome site that he runs. I appreciate
it so much. The pictures that he posts, shared by many of you,
are
absolutely awe inspiring and give me goals to shoot for. I look
forward every morning to getting on line and seeing what the
"Photo
of the Day" is. Our Creator has so many ways of telling us
that He
loves us and cares about us. I think photography does a
very good
job of capturing these love letters. Thanks to all that
contribute
here. You enrich my life everyday!
