"Snowy River"

The beautiful Pacific Northwest has received lots more snow than
usual thus far this fall and winter, and today's picture features a
gorgeous wintry scene that gives the rest of us just a little taste
of what our friends out there are experiencing. With so much of the
white stuff falling there, you would think it was northern Canada
instead of the Pacific coast of the United States.
Of course the poor folks who are having to deal with all that snow
probably wish they had a little less of it, but it sure does make
for some amazing scenery! Hopefully we'll get some snow of our own
here in the mountains of southwestern Virginia before too long.

I left the Buffalo, New York area three years ago to "escape" from
snows like that. Man, I sure do miss them! I love this picture.
