The beauty of spring

Spring is a magical time when old becomes new and blah becomes spectacular as the dull brown of winter is transformed into a myriad of colors that paint the landscape under the direction of the Master. Now gone are the snows and bitter winds of winter, and the robins have returned to fill the air with the soothing sounds of their sweet songs. For me, this is easily the most wonderful time of the year. But spring will soon turn into summer, a joyous time which God makes available to us for cooking out, swimming, and visiting all the places and people we love to visit. And then comes autumn along with its cooler temperatures and magnificent woodland mosaics the likes of which only the Creator can create. Then it's back to winter... The cold and snow will return all too soon, slapping us back into reality as we find ourselves trudging along for a few months consumed with dreams of spring. The seasons of our world always come full circle, giving each of us a taste of the type of weather we love best - and for me, that's spring.
