"Storm clouds rolling in on a Florida beach"

When our granddaughter Olivia was getting ready to leave for her
yearly Florida vacation, I offered to loan her my trusty old Sony
DSC-P41 digicam. She gladly took it along with her, and while she
was in the Sunshine State she took several very nice pictures. This
one shows the dramatic approach of some pretty ominous looking storm
clouds.
Olivia has always enjoyed taking pictures. And although she is just
14 years old she does a pretty darn good job at it - even with a
five year old 2.1 megapixel point-and-shoot!
I once heard it said that the most important piece of equipment at a
photographer's disposal is located between his/her ears. My guess is
that Olivia will turn out to be a very good photographer if she
decides to develop her obvious knack for it. And by the way, that
trusty old Sony digicam (the very first digital camera I ever owned)
now belongs to her.

Way to go Olivia !!! I'm very proud of you also and hope you enjoy
using this 'special camera'. I know there is a great future for you
and just maybe you will be one of those 'special' photographers. And
this is a great picture (think ya got a little of that talent from
this proud GranGran).

Wow... impressive work! Looks almost like the impending end of the
world... well done, Olivia! And as "Grandpa" says, the most
important asset any photographer has is not the camera, nor the
lens, but the ability to SEE, and to capture images of beauty or
emotion or a unique perspective that others might miss. Seems to me
young Olivia has that knack...
