A beautiful scene from the Swiss Alps

Photo courtesy of G. Schouten de Jel.
There are magnificent vistas to be found all around our wonderful
planet, and some of the most breathtaking scenery anywhere can be
found in
"the
Alps".
The Alps mountain range stretches across much of the
European
continent, and their proximity to a large percentage of the world's population as
well as the many outdoor activities they offer make them a favorite
destination for locals and tourists alike. In fact, the world-class
skiing alone draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to the region
each year. But it's the magnificent scenery that sets the Alps apart
from your typical mountain range...
A walk through most any Alpine valley is a treat for the eyes,
especially during springtime when the valley floors are covered
with lush, green grass and colorful wildflowers while towering peaks
that appear to be within an arm's reach are capped with a layer of
snow. It is quite simply a photographer's delight.
Dutch photographer G. Schouten de Jel captured this beautiful image
of a tiny hamlet in the
Swiss Alps, and along with it he managed to
capture just a small "slice" of the beauty that God has provided for
all of us to enjoy.

I guess that if there were any place on earth (outside the USA) that
