A colorful Teal Lake

This gorgeous photo of Wisconsin's Teal Lake by Kristine Beebe of Wilmette, Illinois combines three of nature's most spectacular phenomena into a single image: a colorful rainbow, the colors of fall, and bright reflections emanating from the calm surface of a body of water. Kristine apparently found herself at just the right place, at just the right time, and she sure took full advantage of the opportunity! Wisconsin is home to numerous lakes which range in size from huge Lake Michigan to what we in the south would consider a large pond, and every one of them offers a bounty of magnificent photo opportunities at all times of the year. But there is something special about a wooded lakeshore in the fall casting its colorful reflection onto the water from afar. Throw in a rainbow for good measure and you just might end up with a real wall-hanger like this one. As the fall colors make their way into your neck of the woods, you'll probably find that you have several opportunities for capturing some great images of your own.
