Nighttime view of Glasgow's Clyde Arc

John McLeish.
The British Isles are home to some of the world's most famous
attractions and beautiful sights, and the wonderful country of
Scotland seems to have more than its fair share of them. Most images
of the Scottish landscape depict the natural scenic beauty of the
countryside, but today's picture by photographer John McLeish is a
gentle reminder that there are plenty of gorgeous views to be found
in the urban areas as well. Here are a few words from Mr. McLeish
about the image:
"The Clyde Arc is a road bridge spanning the River Clyde in
Glasgow
in west central Scotland. It connects Finnieston near the
Clyde
Auditorium and SECC with Pacific Quay and Glasgow Science
Centre
in Govan. A prominent feature of the bridge is its innovative
curved
design and the way that it crosses the river at an angle,
leading it
to be nick-named the "The Squinty Bridge".
This was my first serious effort at night time photography. I had
to
take many images with different settings to get this result.
Constructive comments would be appreciated." --John McLeish

John, the only constructive thing I can think to say about this
image is to keep on doing exactly what you're already doing. We
learn from experience, and even the most experienced and skillful
photographers take multiple shots at various settings in order to
help them capture the best possible image. Great shot!

Absolutely gorgeous photo of a beautiful scene. I have visited
Scotland a number of times as I have relatives there, and I always
enjoy visiting Glasgow and stopping by "the bridge".
