"The Remarkables"

Today's picture comes to us all the way from New Zealand where photographer Benjamin Earwicker captured this gorgeous image of a ship cruising past "The Remarkables" on Lake Wakatipu. Located on New Zealand's South Island, The Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu offer their visitors world-class skiing, hiking and a variety of other outdoor activities in addition to some of the most stunning scenery on the planet. Although I have never been to New Zealand, I have seen many pictures of her landscapes over the years and they never fail to amaze me with their stark beauty...and this amazing image is certainly no exception! One of these days, Cheria and I will head down to this beautiful country and check it out for ourselves. Until then, we'll just keep on looking at all the spectacular photographs of the New Zealand countryside that come our way to remind us of what we'll find waiting for us when we get there!
