A picture of things to come...

Dawn Allynn.
With the chill of winter soon to be a memory here in the northern
hemisphere, I thought it might be nice to take a "sneak peak" at
what we can look forward to this summer and fall - and this simple,
yet strikingly beautiful image by photographer
Dawn Allynn depicts
the perfect scene for whetting my appetite for warmer weather.
Of course wintertime offers a certain magical beauty of its own in
its snow-covered landscapes, frosty mornings, and icicles gleaming
in the sunlight, but I prefer the beauty and warmth of spring,
summer and autumn. This winter was much like the last one
since we had plenty of cold weather but very few snowfalls to speak
of, and none of any real significance. If we're gonna have winter,
it would be nice to have at least one spectacular snow to enjoy and
photograph!
The crocuses in our flower beds are now in full bloom with the
daffodils and tulips to follow in short order, and that's just fine
by me. And before we know it summer will be winding down and we'll
be enjoying golden autumn scenes much like this one. How wonderful
it is to live in a part of the world where the seasons actually
change!
