Picture of the day -
November 18, 2007 "Twin Falls"

Greg Green.
Tennessee's landscape varies quite a bit along the wide expanse between
the mountains of the east and the Mississippi River on the western
border. There are a number of beautiful and interesting natural attractions
in the state,
many of which are worthy of being photographed and turned into a
picture-postcard.
Today's picture features a fine example of Tennessee's magnificent
scenery: gorgeous Twin Falls in
Rock Island State Park.
Photographer Greg Green took this wonderful picture of Twin Falls a
couple of weeks ago, and as you can see, the light and weather was
perfect for just such an outdoor adventure. Here are a few words
from Mr. Green about the image:
"A favored spot among kayakers, Twin Falls is one of the most
impressive waterfalls in Tennessee. It is approximately 80 feet
high
and 600 feet wide and is fed from caves in the cliff face on
the
side of the river. This picture was taken around 9:00am on
November
3, 2007." --Greg Green
