Pine Needles Dripping After A Spring Rain

The proverbial "April showers" have been few and far between this
year here in southwestern Virginia, but we received several of them late
yesterday afternoon and last night. As I was taking Houdini for his
morning walk, we took our usual "path" beneath the branches of the
large white pines that line our yard. Tiny droplets of water were
hanging from the tips of the pine needles, creating a beautiful
scene that reminded me somewhat of those "fiber optic" Christmas
trees that are so popular these days.
After our walk was over, I decided to go back outside and attempt to
capture the beauty of those raindrops with my camera. I'm happy with
the resulting image, but the real thing looked so much better. Oh
well, perhaps as my photography skills improve I'll be able to do a
better job at capturing the amazing images of God's spectacular
creations.
I just love walking around outside on a warm spring morning while
the trees and flowers are dripping wet from a refreshing rain. April
is a month of renewal here in the northern hemisphere, with trees
and flowers bursting back into life after a long, cold winter. And
it's the Lord's gift of these wonderful April showers that makes it
all possible.
