"West Virginia Sunset"

Ask most anyone what they know about the state of
West Virginia and
they're likely to respond with the typical answer of "mountains and
coal mines". But while there are plenty of both of those things
within its borders, the "Mountain State" offers its visitors lots
more to see and do than it usually gets credit for.
In addition to some of the world's most spectacular vistas, the
great state of West Virginia also offers her visitors the
opportunity to enjoy world-class skiing, fishing, whitewater
rafting, and what is perhaps the planet's most popular venue for
B.A.S.E jumping.
And as you can see in today's picture, there are also some pretty
spectacular mountain sunsets!
The camera and settings used by photographer Greg Simos to capture
this beautiful image:

Gorgeous photo. I grew up in WV, and I can remember seeing countless
sunsets just like this one. Thanks for bringing back those precious
memories!

What an amazing scene from my wonderful state. It's always nice to
see West Virginia get a little "positive press" instead of all the
usual misconceptions and prejudices that we usually hear. Thank you
so much Mr. Simos for capturing the beauty of the Mountain State,
and thanks as well to Mr. Rouse for featuring it on this awesome
site for all the world to see!
