Forsythia leaves after an autumn rain

Photo of some colorful forsythia leaves after an autumn rain.

The other day I noticed that the large forsythia bush in our yard had blossomed yet again, even though we're well into autumn. I told Cheria about it and she promptly grabbed a camera and headed outside to take a picture of the ill-timed flower blossoms. What she came away with however was the image featured in today's picture.

It had rained the night before so the red autumn leaves of the forsythia were dripping wet, making for a rather pretty photograph in my opinion. Whenever you head out in search of photographic opportunities, always keep your eyes and your mind wide open. If you do, there's just no telling what you might notice - where and when you least expect it.
