"Agitated Goose"

Photo of a very upset white goose.

Today's picture is a good example of how many of God's creatures react when they believe their "personal space" has been violated. Photographer Robert Schwarztrauber took this picture of a quite-agitated white goose while on a recent outing, and the following is his story behind the image:
"This attractive gal was explaining that she'd been swimming in
the lake for years. It's Mirror Lake, part of Forest Lawn Cemetery
here in Buffalo, New York. The quiet setting, which covers 250
acres, makes it home to all kinds of interesting birds including
Canadian geese, these white geese, cranes, woodpeckers and
more. It's a great place to spend hours photographing the birds
and the landscape, and it's also a challenge not to include
tombstones in every shot. Sculptures, landscape, wildlife.

President Milliard Fillmore was buried here and many Who's Who
of a time when Buffalo was one of the wealthiest cites in America.
The goose ended her tour by honking wildly and threatening bodily
harm if I came any closer. I took her suggestion of course."
       --Robert Schwarztrauber
