"Winter"

Depending upon the circumstances, winter can be a time of hardship, a time of beauty - or both. Today's picture features a snow-covered landscape and a frozen canal, which together serve to highlight the beauty of the season. I have heard several predictions of a long, cold, and snowy winter here in my neck of the woods, and if the last two weeks are any indication those predictions just might turn out to be proven accurate before it's all said and done. And while I'm not all fond of cold weather, I do enjoy the majestic beauty which often accompanies it.
