Yellow Wagtail at rest

. Photo courtesy of Juha Soininen. Our wonderful earth is home to countless species of birds, many of which are quite beautiful to look at. That certainly includes the little fellow featured in today's picture: a colorful Yellow Wagtail. Yellow Wagtails can be found in parts of Europe and Asia as well as the American state of Alaska. Although you won't see any here in Virginia, they remind me a great deal of the Yellow Finches that our region is blessed with.
