Bob & Lorraine's beautiful Yucca Filamentosa

Photo of a gorgeous yucca filamentosa in bloom.

My mom and the people of her generation have always called Yucca Filamentosa plants "Old Timey Lilies", so that's what I grew up calling them as well. Regardless of the preferred name, they are absolutely gorgeous plants with some of the most beautiful blossoms around!

Cheria's uncle Bob Cook took this picture of their Yucca Filamentosa while it was still dripping wet after a rain, and he sent along a little background info about it:
"This is a shot of our yucca filamentosa flower that Lorraine and
Randy dug from a pasture field many years ago. At that time it was
a small plant and has since grown to this size and five feet tall!"
