Autumn at Cades Cove
|Photo courtesy of Ryan D. West.
Today's picture features a beautiful autumn scene from one of
America's most popular vacation spots, and here is photographer Ryan
D. West to tell us about it:
"The Great Smokey Mountains is one of the most visited National
Parks in the United States where you can see elk, deer, black bear,
and occasionally a coyote or two - as well as majestic buildings
pre-date indoor plumbing. This is a picture that contains a few
structures that are around 200 years old and built by using simple
hand tools and still holding strong. They reflect what the settlers
lived in as they started to move westward. This photo was taken
Cades Cove in The Great Smokey Mountains on October 26, 2008
approximately 3:00pm." --Ryan D. West
