Picture of the Day - October 22, 2009

This past weekend we went for a walk on the trail around the lake in
Medical Lake, Washington. I took my camera along as I was hoping to
get some photos as we were walking on the trail. As I got out of the
car, I looked across the street and saw this large pond there. The
light was very nice and the clouds also added to the picture I was
looking at. I take a lot of pictures that IMHO are not that great,
but I was really happy with this one. I hope that you also enjoy it.
This is an HDR photo consisting of three photos taken at three
different exposures. These three exposures were then blended
together in Photomatix and the resulting photo was finished in Adobe
Lightroom 2.5. I used my Sony a700 and Sony 18-250mm lens to take

Dad, this picture is absolutely breathtaking! I may not know too
much about the camera aspect of it all BUT I do know that this is a
top notch picture. Everything came together so very well in this
