Picture of the day - December 12, 2008

Sunrises and sunsets are among God's most precious gifts, and I
never grow weary of looking at them and sharing them on the pages of
TodaysPhoto.org. Like us humans, although they do share a number of
common traits, no two are exactly alike. The beautiful sunrise
featured in today's picture was captured by frequent contributor Ron
Trees, and the following is his story behind the image:
"I guess that I am kind of a sucker for sunrises and sunsets. Not
You'll find many more of Ron's outstanding images in
sure why except that is when I think that our Heavenly Father does
some of His best work! What a way to start and end a day. I just
took a few minutes and took a few pictures this morning on my way
work. We are supposed to have rain and snow (ick) the next few
as well as very cold temps, so maybe this is a good way to
into that. I hope you enjoy the colors and beauty as much as
I used my Sony A700 and Sony 18-250 lens to take the picture,
developed it in Adobe Lightroom 2.0." --Ron Trees

This is an amazing image Ron, one that looks a bit like a masterful
painting. Our Creator sure knows how to fill a canvas, and as usual
you did an exceptional job in capturing its beauty.

Gorgeous and awe-inspiring! I'm just getting started in photography,
and it's photos like this that make me want to learn as much as I
can as fast as I can. Someday I hope to have my walls filled with
pictures as wonderful as this one. Thank you so much Mr. Trees for
sharing your fine work with us "newbies".

Ron, I want to tell you how beautiful this picture is.. Off and on
for the last couple weeks, I've been noticing the sunsets around our
Spokane and every time I see one, of course, I don't have my camera.
Thank you so much for capturing what I have been attempting, but
keep missing...This is truly remarkable, exactly what was in the
sky! Thank you! Spring
